I am so excited to tell you about Katie and Ethan! They were married in May in Circleville, Ohio. They were married at the Circleville Presbyterian Church and their reception was held at the Pickaway Senior Center. The wedding was amazing, and so was their reception. Katie looked absolutly gorgeous in her gown and Ethan looked great as well! There was a ton of laughs throughout the day and fun moments! Here is a peak at their engagement session that we did down in Hocking Hills. I set their engagement session up as an album on line – I might do a blog post later that has the images one by one in.

Blissful Brides: Tips for brides: Wedding Jewelry

Hello! Remember when I started Blissful Brides: Tips for brides? yeah… about a year ago and then it fell off the band wagon. I had really good intentions with it and just got to busy! So, I am going to try and start it back up again! I ordered some earrings from the Etsy shop Luxe Deluxe. I absolutely love shopping for jewelry on Etsy.

I don’t know if everyone else has this problem, but I know when I shop for jewelry in the mall I usually have something specific in mind. I end up spending hours at the mall going to every – single – store just to find the one necklace or set of earrings that I had pictured in my mind. It takes hours! It has made jewelry shopping not fun at all. This lead met to Etsy!

If you have never heard of Etsy then please just go browse for awhile at www.etsy.com. You will not regret it! I love shopping for jewelry on Etsy because it is so easy. You can do specific searches for a certain style, color, length, etc. You can also browse certain categories as well so if you are looking for a blue necklace – just type that into the search and you will get pages and pages of blue necklaces. I LOVE IT!

I think this is a perfect site for brides to use. You can find your perfect jewelry to wear for your wedding day, and you can search for necklaces, earrings, bracelets for all of your bridesmaids. The thing that really seals the deal for me with Etsy is the fact that everything that you buy – you will not see in the store. Which means that you won’t be going to another wedding and see the bridesmaids wearing the same exact necklace that you brought for your bridesmaids. I love the fact that everything is unique and handmade – I think it gives each item something special because you know it wasn’t mass produced and shipped out to 500 stores around the country.

I have bought tons of earrings from Etsy, most of them are not perfect for brides to wear. I might post them later just for fun! This pair that I just recently bought is perfect for weddings. The actual shop Luxe Deluxe has tons of items that are perfect for brides. There are necklaces, earrings, hair pieces, bracelets and more! I love the fact that she has a column on the side that has everything separated out into categories. If you know that you have a certain budget for jewelry then you can look for the categories that are separated by prices, or if you know you want hair accessories - just click on the link and you go right to the hair items and skip looking through pages of jewelry… although I do suggest you look at all the pages! You will fall in love with all the jewelry on the Luxe Deluxe site! I know I did!

Engaged: Ashlee and Nathan Columbus, Ohio engagement session

Here is the full post for Ashlee and Nathan! I know you guys are all excited! It has been awhile since I posted anything. The fall was a lot busier then I had expected and my blogging went on the back burning for awhile.

Ashlee, Nathan and I ran around the Short North in Columbus for a couple hours. We started off at Gooddale park and then went around the town. They are such a fun couple and I can not wait for their renewing of vowels in June!

I loved how Ashlee and Nathan made their own Save The Date Cards!

They also brought some flowers that we used a bunch!

Wedding Teaser: Dan and Lisa at the Franklin Park Conservatory

Lisa and Dan were married at the Franklin Park Conservatory in early May 2010. Their wedding was GORGEOUS! I love the conservatory and they were the perfect couple for that location. The weather held up ( intermittent rain) and we were able to go outside for some formals, plus after the reception we went back into the actual conservatory to do more images. The wedding and reception was held in the Palm Room. More details about their wedding will follow – here are some details from the day!
